Features

Clear Omnidirectional Voice Capture

The BY-M1 Pro II features an omnidirectional condenser capsule that captures sound from all directions. Its sensitive pickup design makes it suitable for recording interviews, presentations, tutorials and spoken content while allowing flexible microphone positioning.

Wide 50Hz-20kHz Frequency Response

With a frequency response of 50Hz to 20kHz and a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 78dB, the microphone provides detailed voice reproduction. It is a practical choice for creators looking to improve audio clarity compared with many built-in microphones.

Selectable 0dB and -10dB Attenuation

The integrated attenuation switch allows users to select normal 0dB sensitivity or reduce the input level by 10dB. This helps minimise clipping and distortion when recording louder voices or sound sources close to the microphone.

Built-In Headphone Monitoring

An integrated 3.5mm headphone jack allows audio monitoring when used with compatible smartphones and recording applications. This feature helps users check sound quality and recording levels during supported recording sessions.

Universal Recording Compatibility

The microphone supports compatible smartphones, DSLR cameras, camcorders, audio recorders and computers equipped with suitable microphone inputs. Its integrated camera/smartphone selector simplifies switching between different recording setups.

Convenient Battery-Free Operation

Unlike the original BOYA BY-M1, the BY-M1 Pro II operates without a replaceable LR44 battery. It draws the required microphone power from a compatible connected device, reducing maintenance and eliminating battery replacement during regular use.

Generous 6-Metre Cable

The extended 6m cable provides freedom to position the recording device away from the speaker. This is particularly useful during interviews, presentations, educational recordings and video production where additional movement is required.

Discreet Clip-On Design

The compact microphone attaches to clothing using the supplied lapel clip. Its lightweight construction keeps the microphone close to the speaker while remaining discreet and comfortable during extended recording sessions.

Foam Windscreen for Cleaner Recordings

The included foam windscreen helps reduce unwanted breath sounds and minor airflow noise. It is useful for interviews, voice recordings and indoor presentations where clear speech is essential.

Ideal for Content Creators

Whether producing social media videos, livestreams, educational tutorials or interviews, the BY-M1 Pro II provides a flexible wired recording solution without requiring wireless pairing or charging a separate microphone battery.

Compact and Portable

Weighing approximately 66g, the microphone system is convenient to transport and store. The included carrying pouch keeps the microphone and accessories organised between recording sessions.

• This is a wired microphone, not a wireless microphone system.
• No LR44 battery is required.
• Headphone monitoring is intended for compatible smartphone setups.
• USB-C and Lightning devices may require suitable adapters.
• Computers with separate audio ports may require an adapter.
• Cameras must support an external microphone input.
• Check device compatibility before purchase.
• Recording devices and headphones are sold separately.
